What did I post this? Well, because it's so funny! The history of medicine is all about science getting better and better, and more and more science, until it's OMG. Oops. Wait. It isn't working any more at all. ... Back to the Stone Age, then. Woot!
What made me really crack up is that this was published as the opening "epigraph," that is, the big quote at the top of the first page, in a very very serious book of medical conference results. By, y'know, scientists and doctors. It is interesting to discover that this is what they're thinking! In short, what they're thinking is "OMG 4000 years we've been working on this and NOW we find out, we were going down a dead end!"
Anyway, print it out sometime and share it with your doctor (or your dad). They might enjoy it too. It's "science humor." :D :D :D
